About the role
- Own and resolve complex technical challenges while leading architecture decisions across teams.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, secure .NET and cloud-native solutions.
- Define backend and API architecture aligned with AWS Well-Architected Framework principles.
- Design high-performance REST APIs using async patterns and optimized data contracts.
- Implement secure authentication, authorization, and API throttling using OAuth 2.0.
- Architect reliable webhook and event-driven integrations with idempotency and retry mechanisms.
- Design highly available AWS infrastructure using API Gateway, ALB, Auto Scaling, and RDS.
- Establish API standards and OpenAPI specifications for parallel development.
- Enforce coding standards, perform architecture reviews, and mentor engineering teams.
- Design, build and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated cloud deployments.
- Define disaster recovery, backup strategies, and system resiliency targets (RTO/RPO).
- Implement centralized logging, monitoring, and alerting for production readiness.
- Drive on-time delivery while maintaining strong stakeholders and client engagement.
- Analyze business workflows to continuously optimize system performance.
Requirements
- 10+ years in backend engineering.
- 5+ years working with AWS.
- Prior experience as an architect or lead on API centric B2B integration projects.
- Strong experience with .NET 6/7/8 (Web API, async programming, dependency injection, middleware).
- Deep understanding of RESTful API design, Swagger/OpenAPI standards, and integration patterns (Webhooks, Polling, Events).
- OAuth 2.0 flows, Scopes, Token Validation, and API security best practices.
- Deep knowledge of API Gateway, ECS/EC2, RDS (SQL/Postgres), IAM, CloudWatch, and Secrets Manager
- Proficiency in Terraform or AWS CDK.
- Experience with tools such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Strong SQL experience (schema design, optimization).
- Experience designing systems for high availability (Multi-AZ) and defining RTO/RPO targets.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
