About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead an existing Platform team focused on infrastructure/DevOps and keep delivery consistent and predictable
Hire, mentor, and develop engineers while maintaining team health and performance
Manage capacity, risk, and dependencies; plan realistically, unblock the team, and handle escalations early
Align scope and priorities with the Director of Infrastructure
Keep stakeholders aligned and avoid churn
Strengthen predictable operations by clarifying and practicing ownership, incident flow, and escalation paths
Solve complex infrastructure challenges and maintain infrastructure handling 60PB+ monthly data traffic
Influence DevOps practices and tooling choices
Improve platform capabilities through code-first practices and AI-powered tooling

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience leading an engineering team, including hiring, coaching, performance, and delivery ownership
Strong stakeholder management skills
Ability to translate business needs into a clear plan and keep people aligned
Pragmatic, ownership-driven mindset
Ability to make trade-offs, push standards, and improve reliability without slowing the team
Background in platform infrastructure is nice to have
Hands-on engineering experience is nice to have
