About the role
- Receive and process purchase requests for materials and services from all business units of Grupo OXY
- Analyze quantities and specifications of requested materials and/or services
- Advise internal clients on preparing tender documents for contracting services
- Conduct quotations evaluating payment and delivery terms, cost-benefit and pricing
- Negotiate all commercial terms, issue purchase orders via ERP and send them by e-mail
- Review contract drafts related to service provision and/or commercial agreements for scheduled purchases of parts and components, supplies and/or raw materials
- Monitor order deliveries to meet lead times agreed with suppliers and internal clients
- Perform benchmarking to identify purchasing opportunities and market trends
- Develop new suppliers and submit relevant documentation for credit approval
- Participate in alignment meetings with suppliers, internal clients, or both
- Visit key suppliers for inspections and/or audits for supplier approval
- When necessary, attend meetings at Grupo OXY manufacturing sites to discuss demands, align processes and/or map new opportunities with internal clients
- Enter orders according to purchase requests, and register products, NCM and suppliers in the ERP system for all Grupo OXY business units
- Manage the lifecycle of service contracts
- Prepare and analyze KPIs related to activities under your responsibility
- Provide support to Management when required
- Assist other buyers with proposal analysis, negotiations and/or supplier meetings when needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement
- Experience in purchasing materials and services; negotiation of spot orders and long-term contracts; service contracts; Strategic Sourcing; tax composition; MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); English (preferred)
