About the role
- Identify and collate health data and key documents available in-country
- Support interviews and document reviews in French/Portuguese and produce written reports in English
- Maintain strong working relationships with the Ministry of Health and other relevant national stakeholders
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research, supporting literature reviews, and analysing key health documents
- Identify future climate risks to health systems and assess vulnerability and adaptive capacity
Requirements
- A university degree in public health, environmental health, epidemiology, social sciences, climate change, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience working in the health sector (HIV, TB, malaria, or broader health systems), particularly in data collection, policy research, or program implementation
- Strong bilingual communication skills – fluent in English and either French or Portuguese (written and spoken)
- Experience collaborating with Ministries of Health and engaging other relevant in-country stakeholders such as development partners and research institutions
- Excellent analytical, writing, and presentation skills , with the ability to synthesise technical information clearly and concisely
