About the role

  • Identify and collate health data and key documents available in-country
  • Support interviews and document reviews in French/Portuguese and produce written reports in English
  • Maintain strong working relationships with the Ministry of Health and other relevant national stakeholders
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative research, supporting literature reviews, and analysing key health documents
  • Identify future climate risks to health systems and assess vulnerability and adaptive capacity

Requirements

  • A university degree in public health, environmental health, epidemiology, social sciences, climate change, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience working in the health sector (HIV, TB, malaria, or broader health systems), particularly in data collection, policy research, or program implementation
  • Strong bilingual communication skills – fluent in English and either French or Portuguese (written and spoken)
  • Experience collaborating with Ministries of Health and engaging other relevant in-country stakeholders such as development partners and research institutions
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and presentation skills , with the ability to synthesise technical information clearly and concisely
