About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and own a high value pipeline across the UK.
- Develop relationships with senior leaders across enterprise, government, defence, hyperscalers, AI labs, HPC centres, national research organisations, and strategic technology partners.
- Lead complex sales cycles from early market education and opportunity qualification through to technical discovery, proposal development, negotiation, and contract execution.
- Collaborate with IonQ’s Product, Engineering, Field Engineering and Customer Success teams to translate technical capability into clear customer value.
- Create new demand rather than simply respond to existing buying cycles.
- Educate the market and build trust with technical and executive stakeholders.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Significant experience selling complex, high value technology into enterprise, government or infrastructure led environments.
- Experience in deep tech, cloud, AI, HPC, advanced infrastructure, networking, defence, research, engineering, or scientific computing.
- Strong track record of building pipeline and closing complex, multi-million-pound opportunities.
- Comfortable engaging with CTOs, CIOs, infrastructure leaders, research organisations, technical buyers and commercial decision makers.
- Technically curious and credible with sophisticated customers.
- Ability to translate complex technology into business value.
- Experience selling emerging or technically complex products into the UK market would be highly valuable.
