About the role
- Mechanical design and detailing of high precision new parts, sub-assemblies and customer solutions for Imaging & Analysis products
Requirements
- BSc/BEng qualification in Mechanical engineering (or similar discipline) or equivalent qualification
- iMechE IEng Accredited Mechanical Engineer with at least 5 years’ experience in product development
- Demonstrable experience in: Design of precise, tight tolerance mechanisms
- Tolerance analysis
- Design for long-term stability e.g. vibration, thermal effects
- Design for Regulatory Approval (EMC, MD, Safety, LVD)
- DfX Implementation
- Prototype build & assessment
- Experience documenting designs with detailed assembly instructions, including revision control of drawings and documents
- Experience developing budgets and cost estimates
