About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate with Oxfam International InfoSec, affiliate infrastructure teams, business units, staff, applications managers, vendors, and consultants
  • Lead and maintain stable, secure, and scalable IT systems
  • Coordinate with the managed security services provider to monitor, report, and resolve cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities
  • Lead security incident response, investigation, documentation, analysis, and remediation
  • Maintain security policies, standards, practices, privacy requirements, and acceptable-use guidelines
  • Manage firewalls, VPN access, endpoint protection, vulnerability scans, penetration tests, backups, and disaster recovery
  • Conduct security audits and assessments
  • Maintain infrastructure documentation, network diagrams, system architecture, configuration standards, asset inventories, and operational procedures
  • Oversee on-premise and cloud infrastructure, network devices, servers, and backups
  • Administer Microsoft Intune, endpoint provisioning, configuration, compliance, and lifecycle management
  • Manage the O365 environment for Oxfam America
  • Oversee patch management across servers, endpoints, and network devices
  • Optimize audiovisual equipment and conference-room technology for hybrid and in-person meetings
  • Troubleshoot system issues and lead infrastructure upgrades and improvements
  • Lead the helpdesk team, ticket management, escalation support, end-user tools, account provisioning, and access controls
  • Procure IT hardware and software, negotiate vendor quotes, and manage IT asset inventories and lifecycles

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA or BS in Information Technology or Computer Science, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training
  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and cybersecurity roles, including team and vendor management
  • In-depth knowledge of networking principles, firewalls such as Meraki, endpoint protection, cloud services including O365 and Azure, and device management such as Intune
  • Proficiency in security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, and familiarity with SIEM tools
  • Hands-on experience with ticketing systems such as Jira and ServiceNow
  • Working knowledge of audiovisual systems for conference rooms
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Critical thinking, analytical capabilities, and a solution-oriented mindset
  • Ability to operate independently and apply strategic thinking with technical depth
  • Expert-level knowledge of data, information, and security standards, policies, and architecture
  • Contract and vendor negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Experience researching, evaluating, and proposing technology strategies
  • Experience creating, modifying, and producing policy and procedural documentation
  • Proven experience implementing technology systems and liaising between IT and business partners
  • Preferred: experience supporting nonprofit, advocacy, or international development organizations
  • Preferred: experience with Azure, AWS, PaaS, SaaS, O365, Box, and integrations
  • Preferred: knowledge of PCI, PII, GDPR, HIPAA, and related privacy and security practices and laws
  • Preferred: certification in Azure, cybersecurity, or ITIL
