About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Coordinate with Oxfam International InfoSec, affiliate infrastructure teams, business units, staff, applications, vendors, and consultants
Lead and maintain stable, secure, and scalable IT systems
Coordinate with the Managed Security Services Provider to monitor and resolve cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities
Lead security incident response, investigation, documentation, analysis, and remediation
Maintain security policies, standards, privacy practices, and acceptable-use guidelines
Manage firewalls, VPN access, endpoint protection, backups, disaster recovery, and security audits
Perform vulnerability scans and penetration tests and implement remediations
Maintain infrastructure documentation, network diagrams, system architecture, configuration standards, asset inventories, and procedures
Oversee on-premise and cloud infrastructure, networks, servers, backups, endpoints, Microsoft Intune, and O365
Lead patch management, infrastructure upgrades, and improvements
Optimize audiovisual equipment and conference-room technologies for hybrid and in-person meetings
Lead helpdesk operations, ticket management, escalations, end-user tools, account provisioning, and access controls
Procure IT hardware and software, negotiate vendor quotes, and manage IT asset inventories and lifecycles

Requirements

What you’ll need

BA or BS in Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent combination of experience, education and training
5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and cybersecurity roles, including team and vendor management
In-depth knowledge of networking principles, firewalls such as Meraki, endpoint protection, O365, Azure, and Intune
Proficiency in security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, and familiarity with SIEM tools
Hands-on experience with ticketing systems such as Jira and ServiceNow
Working knowledge of audiovisual systems for conference rooms
Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills
Critical thinking and analytical capabilities with a solution-oriented mindset
Ability to operate independently and apply strategic thinking with technical depth
Expert-level knowledge of data, information, and security standards, policies, and architecture
Contract and vendor negotiation and relationship management skills
Experience researching, evaluating, and proposing technology strategies
Experience creating, modifying, and producing policy and procedural documentation
Proven experience implementing technology systems and liaising between IT and business partners
Preferred: experience supporting non-profit, advocacy, or international development organizations
Preferred: experience with Azure, AWS, PaaS, SaaS, O365, Box, and integrations
Preferred: knowledge of PCI, PII, GDPR, HIPAA, and related privacy and security practices
Preferred: Azure, cybersecurity, or ITIL certification
Satisfactory references and appropriate pre-employment checks required
