About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform clinical spend analysis to identify sourcing, standardization, and cost reduction opportunities across assigned product categories.
  • Prepare pricing comparisons, utilization analyses, supplier benchmarking, and market basket analyses to support category strategies and identify savings opportunities.
  • Support baseline development and savings calculations, including tracking actual vs. expected savings in accordance with value capture standards.
  • Analyze distributor, manufacturer, GPO, PO, and AP data to identify pricing variability, cost above average, inflation impacts, SKU proliferation, and contract compliance gaps.
  • Conduct opportunity analysis at the contract and category level, including identification of savings opportunities from sourcing events and RFP responses.
  • Support clinical sourcing events (RFIs, RFQs, RFPs) by preparing bid structures, supplier lists, evaluation scorecards, and analysis templates.
  • Evaluate supplier responses for pricing, service levels, clinical equivalency, and contractual terms, including identification of savings proposals and optimization opportunities.
  • Assist Category Managers in developing negotiation scenarios, cost models, and trade-off analyses.
  • Document sourcing recommendations and prepare materials for stakeholder and clinical review discussions.
  • Support supplier evaluations, including product conversions, supplier performance reviews, and risk assessments.
  • Assist with contract documentation, pricing validation, and alignment to sourcing awards.
  • Support contract compliance analytics, including product identification, categorization, and tracking adherence to negotiated terms.
  • Develop and leverage analytics and dashboards (e.g., Palantir) to deliver insights across pricing, inventory, and sourcing performance.
  • Define and validate analytical requirements for financial components such as rebates, fees, and savings tracking.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain analytics, or healthcare related financial analysis.
  • Experience supporting competitive sourcing events and supplier evaluations.
  • Preferred Experience within healthcare, hospital, or clinical product sourcing environments.
  • Exposure to medical surgical, implant, pharmaceutical, or clinical equipment categories.
  • Experience working with GPO contracts and manufacturer pricing structures.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex pricing, utilization, and supplier data.
  • Understanding of clinical sourcing fundamentals, including standardization, equivalency analysis, and contracting models.
  • Proficiency in Excel and spend analytics tools; comfort working with large datasets.
  • Ability to interpret commercial contract elements related to pricing, rebates, and compliance.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to translate analysis into actionable insights.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross functional teams.
