About the role
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
- Oversee the general ledger, including posting journal entries, reconciliations, and ensuring timely closing of monthly and year-end financials.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely processing of Company financial obligations (accounts payable).
- Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, intercompany transactions, balance sheet, and income statement accounts.
- Support the proper recognition of revenue and alignment with contractual terms and accounting standards (ASC 606).
- Support external auditors during annual audit procedures, ensuring timely and accurate completion of audits.
- Identify areas for process improvements within accounting functions, and help implement scalable, automated solutions as the company grows.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Provide support for special projects such as system implementations, financial analysis, and technical research.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalent professional experience demonstrating comparable expertise.
- 5+ years accounting experience, with startup or high-growth environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting processes.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, BILL, and advanced spreadsheet capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Located in North America.
- Nice-to-haves: Experience in a cross-border, multi-currency and/or multi-entity environment; SaaS background; Knowledge of revenue recognition standards (ASC 606); US and/or Global payroll experience.
