About the role
- Provide efficient, accurate and customer-focused communication services in the call center
- Schedule routine and complex primary care and specialty appointments
- Perform full patient registration at the time of the call
- Answer routine insurance questions and obtain/verify insurance eligibility and benefits for some same-day and next-day appointments
- Obtain current insurance information for new patients and notify the clinic team of the visit
- Work collaboratively with back office teams to ensure patient needs are relayed in a timely manner
- Ensure phone communication provides an exceptional patient experience
- Work full-time 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:00pm, and follow Hybrid Work Schedule after 90-day probationary period
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service role, physician office, hospital or other frontline customer contact experience in a business setting required
- Experience working in a high-volume call center environment highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Excellent telephone etiquette
- Demonstrated strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with people in stressful situations
- Ability to multi-task, be organized and detail oriented
- Demonstrated proficient computer keyboard skills
- COVID-19 vaccination requirement: proof of full COVID-19 immunization required (must provide immunization card before first day)
