About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and execute the long-term development strategy for our enterprise software solutions organization-wide.
- Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing team of developers and analysts, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Oversee the continued optimization of our Workday and Salesforce environments, ensuring seamless integrations and high-value data output.
- Pioneer the adoption of AI agents and LLM prompting (e.g., Gemini) to automate workflows and enhance decision-making across the organization.
- Establish organization-wide software governance to mitigate risk, eliminate data silos, and maximize the ROI of our technology investments.
- Manage complex capital and expense budgets, prioritizing initiatives that align with Perkins’ global mission.
- Partner with C-suite leadership to align IT initiatives with business objectives, acting as a technical influencer across the NGO.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 15 years of proven experience in software and application development with a track record of managing teams in a fast paced environment.
- Expertise in infrastructure management to support robust, scalable application environments.
- Demonstrated success with Workday (preferred), SAP, or NetSuite.
- Deep experience optimizing the Salesforce ecosystem.
- Practical familiarity with AI prompting and building agents to solve real-world business problems.
- Expert-level knowledge of integrating disparate systems (CRM, ERP, Cloud Services) and managing cloud infrastructure.
- Mastery of both Agile and Waterfall development frameworks.
- The ability to translate complex technical jargon into a clear vision for a global non-profit organization.
