About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide strategic and commercially focused legal advice to internal stakeholders and senior management.
- Advise on international iGaming and online gambling laws and regulations across multiple markets.
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including supplier, technology, platform, service, licensing, marketing, sponsorship, affiliate and vendor agreements.
- Lead and support contract review and legal due diligence processes.
- Identify, assess and mitigate legal risks across international markets.
- Support regulatory matters, submissions and legal requirements across relevant jurisdictions.
- Manage claims, disputes, arbitration, litigation and mediation across multiple jurisdictions, including external counsel.
- Advise on dispute and litigation strategy, investigations, enforcement, injunctions and interim relief.
- Provide guidance on data privacy, consumer protection, AML, technology and other regulatory matters.
- Support commercial and strategic transactions through due diligence, risk analysis and contract review.
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda, analyses and recommendations.
- Collaborate with commercial, compliance, risk, finance, marketing, product, technology and operations teams.
- Manage relationships with external legal advisers and local counsel.
- Monitor international legislation, regulation and iGaming industry developments.
- Provide general legal support, including intellectual property and brand-related matters.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's or master’s degree in law from an accredited institution.
- Qualified/admitted to practise law in at least one recognised jurisdiction.
- Approximately 2–5 years' post-qualification experience, gained in-house and/or in a reputable commercial law firm.
- Strong experience in commercial contracts and general commercial legal matters.
- Demonstrated experience in the international online gambling/iGaming industry, with a strong understanding of the legal and regulatory environment applicable to online gambling businesses.
- Experience working across multiple jurisdictions and navigating different legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience managing or supporting commercial disputes, litigation, arbitration or mediation.
- Strong understanding of legal risk and ability to translate complex legal and regulatory requirements into clear, commercially practical advice.
- Excellent written and verbal English, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Highly organised, commercially minded and able to manage multiple matters and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working autonomously while collaborating effectively with teams across the organisation.
- Bonus points: experience across multiple international iGaming jurisdictions and regulatory frameworks; online gambling regulatory matters, licensing applications or regulatory submissions; data privacy and technology-related legislation; in-house claims and disputes; cross-border enforcement of judgments and arbitral awards; technology, digital entertainment, livestreaming or gaming sectors; high-growth, international and highly regulated businesses.
