About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the administration, maintenance, and optimization of databases to ensure data security, integrity, and availability.
Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24x7 support of database systems.
Design, develop, and implement database solutions as required.
Provide day-to-day administrative support for efficient system-wide database operations.
Design and support data repositories working closely with Infrastructure team.
Work closely with Data Archivist to ensure regulatory compliance for medical data retention.
Monitor database performance, generate reports, and perform data backup and recovery processes using Database Management Systems.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems/Sciences, or a related field, with an emphasis on database design, development, and data management.
Minimum 3 or more years’ experience as a senior SQL Server DBA.
Strong background in database administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Minimum 3+ years of experience with database migration, upgrades, and consolidation.
Significant Experience with backups, restores and recovery models as designer and process owner.
Experience working with Windows Server OS.
Significant experience with database design and troubleshooting.
