About the role
- Analyze large and complex datasets from multiple sources to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize interactive dashboards and automated reports using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) to monitor KPIs and performance metrics.
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot advanced SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis across relational databases and data warehouses.
- Perform data cleaning, validation, and transformation processes to ensure high levels of data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., marketing, finance, product, operations) to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate business needs into analytical solutions.
- Conduct statistical analysis, forecasting, and predictive modeling to support planning, budgeting, and growth initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring reports and improve data workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Present analytical findings through clear data visualizations, storytelling, and executive-ready presentations to support informed decision-making.
Requirements
- 5+ years of proven experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related analytical role within a data-driven environment.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, including complex joins, CTEs, window functions, and query performance optimization.
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., Power Query, Power Pivot, complex formulas) and hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Experience with Python or R for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and automation (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).
- Solid understanding of statistical methods, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and data modeling concepts.
- Experience working with large-scale datasets, data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift), and ETL processes.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills with the ability to present insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
