About the role
- Primary user for Raw Material Optimization software (slab cost modeling).
- Designs, updates, and maintains inventory reports using spreadsheet/database software such as Excel, Access, Microsoft Office, and internal web based reporting programs.
- Updates report formats as needed, including month end closing, sales forecast consumption report and Raw Material Stocks.
- Monitor and provide feedback to suppliers on the quality received and submit respective reports to all involved parties.
- Responsibilities specifically aligned with specific departmental objectives and area of expertise.
- Keep up to date with the current market trends and industry forecasts.
- Provide recommendations and suggestions for improvements in any aspects relating to increased performance.
- Optimizing operational processes and procedures for maximum efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
- Tracking and reporting on operational performance for the Americas & Global Raw Materials.
- Interacting with internal and external customers and suppliers, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Assisting with the implementation of new processes and procedures.
- Promote safety culture and ensure all safety, environmental, and ergonomic requirements are met.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in a relevant business field is preferred.
- Proven >5 years of experience responsible of designing, updating, and maintaining raw materials inventory reports.
- Domain of forecasting tools or statistical methods to predict raw material consumption.
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data modeling etc).
- Analytics & visualization presentation tools as PowerBI.
- Proven project management experience.
- Experience working under pressure on multiple projects within your project timeframes.
- Experienced in using financial insights to recommend process improvements.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
- Experience in Operational Process environment.
- Basic understanding of metal melting process is a plus.
