About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, coordinate, and monitor incoming and outgoing shipments and deliveries, ensuring they are on schedule
- Plan and optimize transportation routes to ensure timely deliveries and efficient use of resources
- Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and suppliers to negotiate rates, manage contracts, and build effective relationships
- Monitor the progress of shipments, provide stakeholders with timely updates, and resolve any delays, damage, or issues that arise during transportation
- Monitor and evaluate transportation costs to ensure budget compliance and identify opportunities to reduce expenses
- Oversee warehouse stock levels, ensuring they align with company demand to prevent shortages or overstocking
- Conduct regular inventory checks, cycle counts, and physical audits to verify stock accuracy
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and system records (ERP/WMS data)
- Coordinate inbound stock receipt, ensure the proper, safe storage of products, and manage warehouse activities
- Collaborate with sales, production, and purchasing teams to forecast inventory needs and plan replenishment orders
- Maintain accurate logs and records of all inventory movements, shipments, and orders
- Prepare and maintain essential shipping documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, and customs declarations
- Ensure all processes adhere to relevant industry regulations, export/import laws, and safety standards
- Act as a central point of contact between suppliers, warehouses, internal departments (e.g., sales, production), and customers
- Address customer inquiries regarding shipment statuses, delivery times, and issues promptly and professionally
- Analyze current supply chain and inventory procedures and recommend improvements to boost efficiency and organization
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven work experience as an Inventory Coordinator or a similar role in the Retail industry
- Complete knowledge of inventory and supply chain processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field
