About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Identify and assess needs and opportunities to improve existing orthopedic devices
Analyze cost, business, and complaint data including root cause analyses
Design engineering solutions including creation and updating of CAD models, simulations and drawings
Define verification and validation activities for changes as needed
Collaborate with Operations and other organizational units on the implementation of product improvements
Champion and document change orders for the changes
Other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor degree in technical field
3+ years of work experience ideally in an R&D or manufacturing environment
Knowledge and application of engineering principles with focus on mechanical engineering incl. GD&T etc.
Highly skilled in CAD modelling and drawing creation, Creo a plus
Knowledge of fiber composite material from design to process
Analyze, learn and understand the function of existing products
Skilled in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing and adjusting focus as needed
Skilled in identifying, anticipating, analyzing and completing improvement activities.
Ability to collaborate with different departments as well as working independently
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
