About the role

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for the long-term material requirements of wheelchair production
  • Analyze and evaluate material costs, identify cost-saving opportunities and generate savings
  • Responsible for procurement in development projects
  • Conduct market research for selected commodity groups
  • Execute tenders and independently negotiate commercial contract terms
  • Supplier development including supplier selection, evaluation and analysis
  • Inventory analyses and procurement planning in close coordination with operational departments
  • Serve as the escalation level for operational purchasing

Requirements

  • Degree in Economics, Engineering, or a completed commercial apprenticeship (e.g., industrial clerk)
  • More than 3 years of solid professional experience in strategic procurement and in negotiating with suppliers
  • Very good MS Office skills, ideally SAP MM experience, and fluent German and English
  • High self-initiative, a pronounced hands-on mentality as well as analytical and strategic thinking
  • Strong technical understanding or a high level of technical interest
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for occasional supplier visits
