About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Carry out breakdown and repair work on all escalators within the portfolio to achieve continual operation
- Work within the London Underground network, managing the portfolio of escalators
- Respond proactively and quickly to fix breakdowns, aiming to achieve first-time fix
- Liaise directly with the customer while on site to build a good working relationship
- Safely maintain a portfolio of escalator units
- Ensure the safety of passengers and technical stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Qualified to at least NVQ Level 3 in Escalator Engineering
- Significant experience in service and maintenance of escalators
- Experienced escalator engineer with in-depth knowledge of various equipment brands
- Valid UK driver's licence
- Flexibility to work overtime when required
- Good mechanical and electrical engineering skills
- Safety-focused professional
- Comfortable communicating with others
- Curious and adaptable
- Able to work independently or in a team
- Comfortable using electronic and digital tools
