About the role
- Participate in business development activities including client meetings and preparation of proposals, while developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Oversee design services for roadway, grading, drainage, utilities, and erosion control in conformance with local, state, and federal regulations for a variety of public agencies.
- Oversee preparation of specifications and cost estimates.
- Plan and coordinate projects with limited supervision.
- Assist in assigning duties and schedules to team member.
- Prepare project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Provide construction support services.
- Guide and mentor internal team members and support their professional development.
- Take active role in quality control and quality assurance (QA/QC) program.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent education is required.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience as a Civil Engineer, with an emphasis on transportation, public infrastructure, drainage, utilities, and civic projects for municipal clients.
- Experience working with transit agencies such as Community Transit, Sound Transit, King County Metro, WSDOT, or similar organizations.
- Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Washington required or ability to obtain within six months.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships while driving business growth.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with various teams throughout the organization.
- Demonstrated experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D (MicroStation experience helpful).
