About the role

  • Coordinate and oversee the placement of toxicology studies with external laboratories
  • Develop, review, and refine study protocols for novel ingredients to ensure scientific soundness and data quality
  • Review completed study outputs for consistency with protocol objectives and intended safety use
  • Serve as the primary technical toxicology contact for external consultants supporting global ingredient registrations
  • Provide toxicological input and clarification as required to support registration activities
  • Conduct toxicology evaluations of individual ingredients and complex fragrance formulations in response to internal or client requests
  • Communicate toxicological findings and safety considerations in a clear and practical manner
  • Support the establishment of safety profiles for proprietary fragrance molecules (“Captives”)

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Personal Care, Cosmetics, or Fragrance & Flavor
  • Solid understanding of toxicology principles and experience supporting the design and oversight of laboratory study protocols
  • Working knowledge of global chemical regulations and safety expectations relevant to fragrance materials
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and explain toxicology and safety concepts to non-scientific audiences
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and commercial timelines
  • Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Chemistry, or a related life science
