About the role
- Responsible for all activities and personnel in Quality areas for JLG Aftermarket RESET Facilities: Product Quality, Process Improvement, Supplier Quality and Manufacturing
- May involve implementation of quality systems, maintaining ISO certifications and compliance, and overall quality control and responsibility of various departments
- Continuous improvement of control testing, manufacturing, and assembly processes; tracking system cycle-time goals; and standard operating procedures
- Oversee product quality, process control, supplier quality processes, receiving inspections, supplier audits, and quality and contract proposals
- Accurately maintain company records and documents in accordance with policies and procedures
- Work with other quality personnel to meet or exceed customer specifications while meeting target costs
- Report and chart quality measures and conduct process capability studies
- Oversee and assign product quality deficiency reports and respond to quality process nonconformance issues
- Analyze and implement effective solutions to resolve major quality issues and coordinate cross-functional resolution with Engineering, Contracts, Sales, and Manufacturing
- Create, establish, maintain and certify quality guidelines, processes, and procedures and promote awareness of procedures and quality systems
- Assign, schedule and coordinate internal and external quality audits and communicate with suppliers to correct and prevent deficiencies
- Participate in quality meetings including Corrective Action Board, Control Testing and Management Review Meetings
- May develop, maintain, and continuously improve a process improvement training program
- Interview, supervise, appraise, and discipline employees; acknowledge team accomplishments; responsible for budgeting activities and personnel reviews; ensure personnel have adequate resources
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quality, Business, Operations Management, or related field
- 4 plus years of related work experience
- Two years knowledge or training on JLG, Jerr-Dan, Oshkosh products, or other extreme-duty vehicles (standout)
- Advanced training/experience in the use of statistical techniques including CP/CPK
- MS Windows, Word, Excel, Project, Outlook proficiency
- MAPICS/Infor XA ERP experience
- Ability to perform moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds) and work in production environments
- Experience with ISO audits, supplier audits, receiving inspections, and maintaining ISO certifications
- Experience assigning, scheduling and coordinating quality audits internally and externally
- Experience analyzing nonconformance and implementing corrective actions
- Interviewing, supervising, appraising, and disciplining employees; personnel reviews and budgeting experience
- May require U.S. Person status for roles needing access to controlled goods (ITAR/EAR)
