About the role
- Collect, prepare, and analyze data from diverse internal sources including JDE, MES, Kronos, and the Azure Data Lake to generate business insights
- Utilize SQL and Python to perform data wrangling, cleansing, and transformation for reporting and analytical purposes
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, recurring KPI reports, and automated analytics tools that drive visibility into key business metrics
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate operational challenges into technical problems and deliver clear, actionable insights
- Partner with Data Engineers to create, test, and refine data views in Databricks that support recurring reporting and ad-hoc requests
- Support Data Scientists on projects involving predictive and prescriptive analytics
- Conduct root cause and trend analyses to uncover the “why” behind performance outcomes and inform strategic recommendations
- Participate in Oshkosh’s Analytics Communities of Practice to share learnings, contribute to continuous improvement, and advance the use of analytics across the organization
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
- Three (3) or more years of experience in Data Analysis, Information Technology, or a related area
- Experience with various web-based software applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical data into business insights
- Ability to travel up to 25%
