About the role

  • Design, build, and own backend services written in Python
  • Lead refactoring initiatives and reachitecture work to modernize and simplify our platform
  • Build reliable REST APIs for our React frontend, mobile apps, and partner integrations
  • Create systems that support multiple countries, currencies, and languages
  • Improve performance, stability, and reliability in high-growth environments
  • Work closely with frontend, product, and technical leadership
  • Bring proactive ideas to the table, not just execute tickets
  • Own your work end to end, from concept to deployment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years building and maintaining production-grade backend services
  • Strong experience with Python and frameworks like FastAPI, Django, or Flask
  • Solid experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs
  • Knowledge of microservices or modular monolith patterns
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and Docker
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • A proactive, ownership-driven approach to engineering.
  • Experience with reachitecture projects, migrations, or platform rewrites (Nice to Have)
  • Familiarity with Redis, message queues, or event-driven systems (Nice to Have)
  • Experience with high-scale or high-traffic platforms (Nice to Have)
  • Background in mobility, automotive, logistics, or marketplace products (Nice to Have)
  • Experience with data pipelines, metrics systems, or observability tooling (Nice to Have)
  • Interest in shaping technical direction and mentoring others (Nice to Have)
  • Deep understanding of SQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred) (Nice to Have).
