About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain customizations and integrations within the PeopleSoft environment
  • Support and enhance PeopleSoft FSCM applications, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, General Ledger, Purchasing, Asset Management, Project Costing, Inventory, and eProcurement
  • Develop and maintain PeopleCode, Application Engine, SQR, BI Publisher, Integration Broker, Component Interfaces, SQL, and Fluid pages
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Troubleshoot production issues, application defects, and performance concerns
  • Create and maintain PeopleSoft interfaces with third-party applications using REST, SOAP, file transfers, and Integration Broker
  • Collaborate with functional analysts, DBAs, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders
  • Participate in system testing, regression testing, deployment, on-call support, and scheduled maintenance
  • Document technical specifications, system designs, coding standards, and operational procedures
  • Evaluate process improvements, automation opportunities, and system performance enhancements
  • Provide technical mentoring and knowledge sharing within the application development team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of professional experience developing and supporting PeopleSoft FSCM applications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft architecture and application design
  • Knowledge of PeopleTools, including Application Designer, PeopleCode, Application Engine, SQR, Integration Broker, Query, BI Publisher, and Component Interfaces
  • Relational database knowledge and ability to write complex SQL statements, preferably Microsoft SQL
  • Knowledge of REST APIs, SOAP, XML, and JSON
  • Understanding of PeopleSoft security, roles, permission lists, and row-level security
  • Familiarity with Change Assistant, PUM Images, and Lifecycle Management
  • Understanding of SDLC, source control, and change management practices
  • Knowledge of performance tuning and troubleshooting techniques
  • Strong SQL development and database troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to develop clean, maintainable, well-documented code
  • Ability to analyze complex technical and business problems and develop practical solutions
  • Ability to estimate work effort and meet project deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to pass a background and drug screening
  • Must have identification compliant with the Real ID Act at time of hire
  • Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy access badge
  • Must comply with federal regulations concerning controlled substances
  • For employees issued initial badges on or after September 1st, 2025, must obtain and maintain an HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credential
  • Must successfully complete and pass a federal background check investigation
