About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop seasonal design concepts.
  • Define the creative direction of the collection in line with ORTOVOX’s brand strategy and ensure a consistent design language across all product categories.
  • Assume a functional lead role in the design process and provide creative direction within the team.
  • Responsible for designing technical premium mountain sports products in apparel and accessories.
  • Analyze international trends, consumer needs, competitors, and innovations in materials, construction, and sustainability, and translate these into relevant product concepts.
  • Develop seasonal color, material, and trim concepts and ensure their consistent implementation within the collection.
  • Collaborate closely with product management, the apparel development team, pattern engineering, and material development.
  • Together with the apparel development team, create innovative functional solutions, specialized constructions, and new processing methods.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed studies or comparable training in apparel or product design.
  • More than 7 years of professional experience in technical apparel Design, ideally in outdoor or performance sportswear.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of seasonal collections, as well as a strong understanding of Design systems and collection coherence.
  • Knowledge of garment construction and pattern making is an advantage.
  • Proficient use of Adobe Illustrator; experience in graphics, 3D Design, and visualization tools (e.g. CLO 3D) is a plus.
  • Strong technical understanding and the ability to clearly visualize and convincingly present design ideas.
  • Ability to work independently, in a structured and solution-oriented manner, and keep an overview even with complex collections.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and can confidently represent design decisions to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strongly identify with mountain sports, nature, and sustainable product development.
