About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and execute the multi-year roadmap for OrthoFi’s common data platform
- Treat software engineers, data analysts, and product teams as core platform customers
- Partner with Data Engineering to drive requirements for scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, central data storage, and unified data models integrating disparate SaaS data sources
- Design self-service data access patterns, clean schemas, and APIs for product and engineering teams
- Partner with SaaS Product Managers to define metrics, event tracking, and data requirements throughout feature discovery, design, and delivery
- Collaborate with engineering and analytics to standardize event tracking, logging, schema design, and integration touchpoints
- Build frameworks and best practices for planning, instrumenting, tracking, and learning from data
- Establish consistent definitions, taxonomies, and central data modeling for core metrics
- Ensure data lineage, quality, security, and completeness across the central data platform
- Introduce enterprise standards for data documentation, ownership, cataloging, and schema change management
- Promote data stewardship across technical and non-technical teams
- Create reliable central dashboards and reporting layers
- Collaborate with executive leadership, Customer Success, Operations, and Finance on trusted platform data
- Lead long-term data strategy for AI/ML readiness and predictive analytics
- Set the stage to own and commercialize Data as a Service as a future competitive differentiator
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of experience in product management focused on building common data platforms, central data infrastructure, or data pipeline products
- At least 3 years in a product leadership role
- Proven track record of defining product strategy for central data platforms serving internal engineers, data scientists, and business consumers as customers
- 5+ years working in data, analytics, or data-intensive environments
- Demonstrated success collaborating with engineering, product, and business teams to define and deliver data-related initiatives
- Strong understanding of data modeling, event tracking, and analytics instrumentation
- Working knowledge of SQL
- Familiarity with modern data tools such as dbt, Snowflake, Redshift, Power BI, Tableau, or similar
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to balance near-term operational improvements with long-term strategic vision
- Experience working in Agile product development environments; comfortable defining stories, managing backlogs, and collaborating through sprint cycles
- Experience designing metric frameworks or governance programs at scale
- Background in analytics, data science, ETL, or data platform product management
- Familiarity with AI/ML data requirements and experimentation frameworks
- Experience in healthcare, fintech, or other regulated industries, including HIPAA, GDPR, or SOC 2, is nice to have
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
