About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide remote patient monitoring services and community-based nursing support
- Independently monitor and analyze patient data through a secure dashboard
- Apply clinical judgment to provide timely feedback, education, and escalation
- Liaise with patients and healthcare providers to integrate monitoring insights into patient-care decisions
- Facilitate community health programs and group education
- Provide lower-extremity assessments, sensation testing, skin-integrity evaluations, and wound evaluations
- Support patient compliance with remote monitoring care plans
- Make proactive outbound calls for clinical support and patient education
- Maintain accurate records and document monitoring actions in a cloud-based dashboard
- Travel to communities throughout Alberta to build relationships, provide education, perform assessments, dispense insoles, and support care coordination
- Address incoming calls requiring clinical guidance
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Care, Clinical Affairs, R&D, providers, clinic teams, and community partners
- Provide feedback on procedures, policies, and standards
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Uphold quality management system requirements and professional standards
- Assume additional responsibilities as required in the early-stage company environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BN/BScN) or Diploma in Practical Nursing
- Registration and membership in good standing with the CRNA or CLPNA
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check valid within the past year
- Minimum 5+ years of clinical nursing experience with direct patient care
- Preferred experience with lower-limb assessment, wound care, vascular care, or diabetes-related care
- Competency performing comprehensive lower-extremity assessments, including vascular and neurological screening
- Certification or training in Advanced or Basic Foot Care Nursing, wound care, or lower-limb/foot-health assessment
- Experience providing patient education and clinical support
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to analyze patient monitoring data and apply clinical judgment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams
- Proficiency with digital documentation systems/electronic health records
- Ability to travel within Alberta, primarily supporting clinics in Calgary, with occasional travel to Edmonton and other communities
- Preferred experience in wound-care, diabetes, vascular-care, or community-based chronic-disease programs
- Preferred NSWOC or other recognized wound-care education
- Preferred experience with remote patient monitoring or virtual care
- Preferred experience working with First Nations, Métis, and Indigenous communities
- Understanding of social determinants of health, particularly in rural, remote, and Indigenous communities
- Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Familiarity with ISO 13485 and HIPAA/PIPEDA standards
- Comfort using digital-health technologies and performing basic technical troubleshooting across smartphone platforms and remote-monitoring tools
