About the role
- Provides engineering support on the management of storage, handling and use of explosives at site
- Monitors and audits adherence to explosives rules in line with company policy
- Checks the blast design for safety
- Ensures safe practices in storing and handling explosives
- Creates and certifies written Blasting Specification for each blast
- Ensures proper oversight of blasting equipment
- Inspects the site for safety and ventilation requirements
- Coordinates with project managers and necessary authorities
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years experience post qualification
- Experience leading a team
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Strong strategic and commercial acumen
- Ability to plan, influence & execute
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum 3 to 6 years experience post qualification for BAND F TECHNICAL SPECIALIST roles
- Role dependent - technical &/or functional business system applications required (e.g. SAP, SF, Concur, analytics/visualisation tools, engineering software)
