About the role
- Take full responsibility for business and financial performance in the African region.
- Lead and execute strategies to grow rental revenues, increase market share, and drive profitability across the region.
- Build, expand, and manage strong commercial relationships with distributors, key accounts, and customers.
- Oversee all aspects of regional operations, including freight, supply chains, inventories, and asset tracking.
- Collaborate with sales, finance, and global commercial teams to drive revenue targets.
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience in commercial management, business development, or operational leadership within mining, engineering, industrial services, or a related field.
- Educational background in mining, engineering, business, finance, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated track record of P&L responsibility, financial management, and delivering against commercial targets.
- Proven ability to organize, stabilize, and grow a business in challenging and dynamic environments.
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Experience managing rental business models and asset utilization.
- Aptitude for understanding technical concepts related to drilling instrumentation or mining services.
- Experience working in Africa or similar regions.
