About the role
- Perform routine servicing and repairs on site-based mobile and fixed plant equipment
- Provide preventive maintenance and responsive breakdown support across multiple Orica sites
- Offer expert maintenance advice to site leaders and managers
- Monitor equipment performance, report failures, and identify opportunities for improvement
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and safety
- Operate effectively in both open-cut and underground mining environments
- Play a key role within a collaborative team of mobile technicians and mechanics
Requirements
- Auto Electrical trade qualification (Essential)
- Dual trade with Auto Mechanic (Desirable)
- 3 + years post trade experience in similar role within the heavy industry or mining sector
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative
- Heavy Rigid driving license is advantageous but not essential
- Competent in or willing to become certified for confined space entry and operations
- Competent in or willing to become certified for Working at Heights
