About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Gather requirements and map business processes to suitable SAP system designs
- Design, govern, and improve end-to-end processes across domains
- Design robust and scalable SAP FI/CO solutions across the global financial systems landscape
- Complete tasks and actions defined by project plans
- Build and expand in-house expertise across SAP S/4HANA FI/CO modules and related finance systems
- Lead FICO perspectives for legal compliance implementations, rollouts, upgrades, migrations, and continuous improvement projects
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements and align them with SAP FICO capabilities
- Serve as Technology Lead and trusted advisor to Treasury and Finance Business Partners
- Identify efficiency and improvement opportunities in Corporate Treasury processes
- Support Treasury Management processes including bank account and communication management, In House Cash, netting, intercompany payments, lockbox processing, bank statements, interest calculations, FX, and investments
- Identify process variants, duplication, and optimization opportunities across regions, plants, and business units
- Define cross-domain handoffs, operational controls, and system integration points
- Align process standards with XLAs, business KPIs, and compliance requirements
- Assess process impacts across ERP and data platforms
- Maintain cross-system dependency matrices for end-to-end processes
- Provide impact analysis for changes, releases, and cross-functional initiatives
- Enforce modelling standards, naming conventions, and process policies
- Ensure approvals, documentation quality, and compliance with enterprise controls
- Maintain the enterprise process repository and consistent version management
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Architecture, Data Governance, and Operations teams
- Recommend and enforce process modelling standards
- Approve or reject process exceptions or variants
- Validate cross-system impacts for major changes
- Influence Product Owner backlogs when end-to-end process alignment is affected
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in finance, IT, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience in SAP FICO consulting, including full-cycle implementations and post-go-live support
- Expertise in SAP FICO core modules including GL, AP, AR, AA, Bank Accounting, CCA, PCA, IO, COPA, and CO-PC
- Strong knowledge of cross-module integration points with MM, SD, PS, RAR, and HCM
- Experience in SAP Treasury and Risk Management and Tax, including Vertex integration, highly desirable
- Experience developing solutions for E-Invoice/SAP DRC, SAFT, and DMEE requirements
- Skilled in writing detailed Functional Design Specifications and collaborating on RICEFW objects with ABAP developers
- Experience using agile methodology to advance solutions through experimental/Proof of Concept stages into sustained solutions
- Excellent facilitation and cross-functional alignment capabilities
- Ability to collaborate, communicate, and coordinate with business and IT stakeholders
- Analytical, structured problem-solving, and process-thinking abilities
- Ability to influence without authority and communicate clearly
