About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collect and analyze data in the lab or field
  • Conduct data entry and validation
  • Conduct literature reviews
  • Learn and apply professional concepts to resolve problems of limited scope and complexity
  • Perform routine duties as directed under the supervision of study personnel
  • Travel to domestic and regional field research sites to support focus groups, environmental scans, community forums, consenting individuals, and data collection
  • Assist with outreach activities including mailings and website support
  • Provide technical administrative support for the BOLI Workforce Development Program in the Huang Safety Climate Lab

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Enrolled in, on vacation from, or otherwise registered in an undergraduate program with a minimum of 6 credit hours
  • Experience with the technical side of public health and medicine
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Exceptional organizational skills and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to be self-motivated, prioritize effectively, and achieve deadlines
  • Ability to gather, compile, analyze, and maintain information from research publications and web sources
  • Ability to exercise discretion when dealing with sensitive issues and maintain research integrity
  • Preferred: student currently working on a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Preferred: experience in research
  • Preferred: knowledge of web development, cloud systems, and AI-enabled applications
  • Preferred: ability to understand and explain technical language/systems
  • Preferred: experience using Microsoft Azure
