About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provides excellent customer service and problem-solving skills to support the Cardiology Team
Coordinates health maintenance care for patients, including panel patients and those with complex health care needs
Monitors and responds to in-basket messages and communication pools
Assists with medication refill process and secures community resources
Participates in quality improvement and care management projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

Two years’ experience in a hospital or hospital-based clinic setting
High School diploma or equivalent
BLS certificate within 30 days of hire or prior to independent practice
Completion of a nationally recognized accredited medical assistant training program or equivalent
Must have MA certification from an accredited certifying body upon hire or by the completion of probation
Ability to work independently and as a member of the team
Knowledge of patient flow and back-office functions
Proficiency with EPIC, Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Power Point
Working knowledge of medical terminology
