About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partners with departments across the School of Medicine to implement full-cycle, strategic faculty recruitment plans
- Conducts intake meetings with hiring managers to understand and refine job criteria with a focus on identifying ideal candidate profile
- Reviews job postings to ensure alignment with OHSU values and employment brand, using inclusive language and ensuring the posting is compelling to candidates
- Executes innovative strategies to attract diverse, qualified talent
- Screens candidates and work with hiring committees on the selection process
- Manages candidate communication and the candidate experience, planning proactively for candidate interactions throughout the process and responding to requests and concerns that arise with promptness and empathy
- Provides guidance to SOM hiring leaders regarding all areas of recruitment
- Attends career fairs and events throughout Portland, Oregon, and the US in support of faculty recruitment
- Collects and analyzes data regarding recruitment and retention of employees; develops recommendations for policy or procedure changes based on data
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five years of progressively responsible recruitment experience, which includes managing a requisition load, recruiting hard to fill positions, creating recruitment plans and sourcing strategies
- Demonstrated experience in recruiting and/or sourcing on hard-to-fill positions
- Advocacy of and commitment to equity and diversity
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with faculty, providers, staff, students, and visitors with diverse backgrounds at all levels within OHSU and in the community
- Ability to write concise, logical and grammatically correct correspondence, reports, and other written materials
- Demonstrated computer literacy with moderate skill and knowledge of MS Office and email applications
- High critical thinking skills and self-motivated to identify needs and appropriate solutions
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accurate information
- Highly organized and with strong time management skills
- Ability to speak on a one-on-one or group basis to obtain and clearly convey information
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while being collaborative in resolving problems
- Ability to manage and perform multiple tasks under conditions of fluctuating workloads, competing requirements, and changing deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to follow through on assignments with minimal direction.
