About the role
- Primary responsibility for the integration, support and enhancement of systems and tools within Unified Communications.
- Analyze existing applications, systems, processes, and workflows for simplification or enhancement.
- Design, develop, and document modifications to existing systems, applications, workflows or processes.
- Assist in development and design of system or workflow interfaces.
- Develop test plans and conduct testing.
- Develop and complete implementation plans.
- Provide consultation to others.
- Participate in determining requirements for existing and new systems or applications and evaluating vendors and responses.
- Assume project management responsibilities for small projects or sub-projects within a larger project as assigned.
- Back up to Unified Communication Sr. Systems/Application Analysts as needed.
- Act as primary point of contact for vendors who support or provide Unified Communication systems and applications.
- Document issues, plans, action items with appropriate follow-up and/or scheduling of meetings.
- Assist with negotiation and/or renegotiation of contracts.
- Analyze spend rates, assist with budgeting and forecasting, ensure vendor billing matches contracts.
- Continued Professional Development.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and two years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and four years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR Associate’s degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and five years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR Six years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR Equivalent combination of education and experience where one year of experience will be substituted for an Associate’s degree and two years of experience will be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
- 2 years experience working in a Unified Communications environment.
- Proven experience understanding financials, vendor management, and 5 year planning.
- 2 years experience in voice and data circuits, including vendor billing, audit, and ordering of installation or removal.
- Experience documenting workflows, processes, and system integrations.
- Experience with internal billing systems, asset tracking, and validation.
- Must have expert knowledge of and demonstrated success in project management concepts, tools, including cost/benefit analysis and resource management.
- Must have excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills: both written and verbal.
- Ability to use tact and diplomacy to maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to work both independently as part of a team, while being collaborative in resolving problems.
- Must have demonstrated excellent customer service skills both on the phone and in person.
- Must possess energy and drive to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be proficient with microcomputers running Windows applications (e.g. MS Excel, Access, Projects, Outlook and Word).
- Must have thorough knowledge compiling flowcharts and using flowcharting software (e.g. Visio).
- Experience working in an Academic Research and Healthcare setting. (Preferred)
- Familiarity with applications currently in use for ITG operations. (ie, Jira) (Preferred)
