About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Playing a key role in supporting the state’s regulatory oversight of agencies that provide services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Responsible for reviewing protective service investigation reports, complaint investigations, and licensing reports to assess whether sanction activity is warranted.
- Ensure compliance with Senate Bill 136 and federal regulations by identifying non-compliant entities and recommending appropriate corrective actions or sanctions.
- Analyzing the relevance and adequacy of evidence presented in complaint reports to determine whether it meets the threshold for enforcement action.
- Contributing to the decision-making process regarding the type and scope of corrective measures to be applied.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Five years’ experience doing administrative research that included compiling and evaluating facts to recommend management action or decide compliance or eligibility with program guidelines and regulations.
- Three of the five years must be above the technical support level.
- College-level course work may substitute for experience on the basis of 45-quarter units per year, up to a maximum of three years.
- Experience interpreting and applying Oregon laws, administrative rules, policies, and regulatory requirements to evaluate compliance and determine appropriate actions.
- Experience working with intellectual and developmental disabilities services, regulatory compliance, investigations, or related human services programs to analyze complex information and resolve compliance issues.
- Experience applying analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate information, make sound decisions, and maintain exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, while collaborating with internal partners, service providers, stakeholders, and community partners to provide consultation and support.
- Experience managing multiple priorities through strong organizational and time management skills while maintaining accurate documentation and meeting competing deadlines.
- Experience working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating professionalism, adaptability, and sound judgment.
