About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act in an administrative capacity to assemble, organize, and preserve discovery and case materials in support of client and Early Resolution Unit and Trial Office needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Three (3) years of administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis
  • An associate degree in general office occupations and two (2) years of administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Exceptional Attention to Detail: Demonstrates a high level of accuracy when reviewing, organizing, indexing, redacting, and maintaining discovery materials, evidence logs, and case records
  • Strong Organizational & Case Management Skills: Effectively manages large volumes of physical and electronic discovery, prioritizes competing deadlines, and maintains well organized case files and documentation
  • Technical Proficiency & Adaptability: Possesses experience using case management systems, databases, document management platforms, and software for handling, converting, and redacting digital evidence, including audio, video, and photographic files
  • Knowledge of Confidentiality and Legal Compliance Requirements: Understands the importance of safeguarding sensitive information and applying applicable laws, policies, and victims’ rights requirements when processing and disclosing discovery materials
  • Analytical and Critical Thinking Skills: Demonstrates the ability to identify missing evidence, recognize relevant or probative information within case materials, and exercise sound judgment when reviewing complex records
  • Collaborative & Customer Service Oriented Approach: Builds and maintains effective working relationships with attorneys, paralegals, IT staff, clients, and other members of the defense team while providing responsive and professional support
  • Initiative and Commitment to Continuous Improvement: Takes ownership of assigned work, develops and documents efficient processes, assists with cross-training efforts, and contributes to consistent office wide practices and procedures.
