About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide leadership and direction for the Credit Union Program
- Planning and overseeing the safety and soundness examination and supervision of state-chartered credit unions
- Maintaining effective working relationships with other regulators, industry members and consumer advocates related to the supervision of state-chartered credit unions
- Advising senior division and department management on policy issues involving the Credit Union Act
- Providing counsel and expertise to the staff, administrator and director
Requirements
What you’ll need- Six years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience OR Three years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Demonstrated ability to complete projects timely
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to analyze information and apply sound judgment
- Willingness and experience in presenting information in public and to executives
- Ability to coach and develop supervised staff
- Experience working in or with credit unions or banks or as a financial services regulator
