About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee fiscal operations and contract administration for the Medicaid Division.
  • Lead the team responsible for supplemental payment calculations, fee-for-service and managed care payments.
  • Manage funding processes involving millions of dollars distributed to hospitals, clinics, and providers statewide.
  • Direct the development and maintenance of the Medicaid internal compliance program including reporting and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with contracting and financial offices and ensure timely responses to federal reporting deadlines.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Six years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience; OR three years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience providing organizational and people leadership, including supervising, coaching, and developing staff; managing team performance; and fostering an inclusive team culture.
  • Experience overseeing fiscal operations for supplemental payments, fee-for-service payments, and managed care payments.
  • Knowledge of legislative and regulatory processes and experience analyzing, applying, and advising on relevant federal and state laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Specific knowledge of Oregon Health Plan (Medicaid), Oregon Administrative Rules, Oregon Revised Statutes, and Medicaid funding requirements.
  • Knowledge and experience with contracts, interagency agreements, grants, procurement, and contract administration within Oregon state government or other complex health services delivery organizations.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and experience communicating complex information across diverse audiences.
  • Ability to provide organizational leadership to foster inter- and cross-agency collaboration and continuous improvement strategies.
