About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervise the Assessment Team in developing and implementing Oregon’s statewide assessment system.
- Provide statewide leadership and strategic direction for assessment and related reporting functions.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal requirements while advancing educational equity.
- Create and implement policies and direct program and fund administration.
- Evaluate staff and programs and serve as liaison with other state and federal agencies when necessary.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Seven years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience; OR four years of related experience and a bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of K-12 systems, challenges, and opportunities at the building and district levels.
- Experience working directly in leadership positions in K-12 settings using different types of data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to apply an equity-focused, human-centered approach.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate across partnerships.
