About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee Oregon’s statewide impaired-driving prevention and enforcement initiatives
  • Act as the state’s subject-matter expert for impaired-driving strategies
  • Support the Governor’s Advisory Committee on Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants
  • Administer federal and state impaired driving grants
  • Guide policy development, legislative analysis, and rulemaking related to impaired driving statutes
  • Develop and manage impaired driving communication, outreach, and media activities
  • Deliver presentations and training to statewide audiences

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Any combination of experience or education equivalent to seven years of experience related to impaired driving
  • A bachelor's degree in business or public administration, behavioral or social sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills
  • Four years experience coordinating or administering a program related to impaired driving
  • Valid US driver license and an acceptable driving record
