About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the programs, policies, and regulatory operations associated with OSAC‑administered scholarships.
  • The role provides strategic leadership and direction on applicable laws, rules, internal processes, and procedures, and oversees a large team of staff responsible for the development and administration of scholarship programs.
  • The position also carries fiscal oversight responsibilities, including establishing fiscal processes, developing budget forecasts, and ensuring accurate tracking, monitoring, and reconciliation of scholarship funds.
  • Provides leadership and oversight for multiple distinct boutique grants and scholarships programs within OSAC.
  • Provides direct supervision to program staff, including assigning and prioritizing work, monitoring workload distribution, and ensuring timely and high‑quality completion of responsibilities.
  • Oversees development, establishment, and implementation of administrative rules, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Five years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience; OR two years of related experience and a bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience managing complex programs with strong attention to detail, timelines, and competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and fairness in program administration.
  • Ability to use technical systems to support application processes, workflows, and continuous process improvement.
  • Possess an understanding of higher education systems and student financial aid programs.
  • Experience providing fiscal oversight and guidance.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with partner agencies and donors.
  • Experience supervising and coaching professional staff while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
