About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop funding programs to manage state or federal grant funds.
- Apply for federal grant funding in support of transit programs.
- Help transit providers find and use the right funding to further state and community goals.
- Make sure project information is accurate in tracking systems.
- Prepare and manage contracts and agreements for transit grants.
- Ensure grant recipients follow all state and federal rules.
- Track project progress and suggest improvements.
- Reconcile budgets, analyze financial reports and monitor risk.
- Keep policies, procedures and program documents updated and accurate.
- Collect and analyze grant data to make decisions and improve programs.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Any combination of experience or education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification related to grants administration and management.
- A bachelor's degree in business or public administration, behavioral or social sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two years experience coordinating or administering a program related to grants administration and management.
