About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide a wide variety of general office support to a child support team
  • Review the unidentified collections listed on the Suspended Collections List
  • Utilize established procedures and information systems to locate current demographic information
  • Accurately narrate any actions and information used to associate collections with participants
  • Receive requests to reissue escheated funds and provide results to requestors
  • Maintain various attendance records for the team
  • Take, generate, and distribute meeting minutes as assigned
  • Receive and respond to general inquiries about the status of child support cases
  • Complete a variety of pre-formatted, standardized legal forms from legal referrals
  • Assist manager with confidential duties and maintain confidentiality of all assigned tasks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents
  • An associate degree in any field
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Professional-level verbal and written communication skills
  • Adaptability when facing change in job processes and requirements
  • The ability to work independently and prioritize according to business needs
  • The ability to work within a team and support other team members as business needs shift and support is needed
  • Time management skills
  • Experience with solution-based problem solving when encountering issues
  • Experience maintaining confidentiality with sensitive case information
