Requirements

What you’ll need

Canadian CPA designation holder
Deep technical knowledge of ASC 842 (Lease Accounting) and ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition)
Exceptional communication and presentation skills
Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IFRS requirements
Oversee and manage all aspects of lease accounting under ASC 842, including lease classification, measurement of right-of-use assets and lease liabilities, journal entries, and required disclosures.
Manage revenue recognition policies and procedures under ASC 606, including contract assessment, performance obligation identification, transaction price allocation, and fulfillment of recognition criteria.
Research complex accounting issues and prepare technical accounting memos.
Design, implement, and monitor robust internal controls over financial reporting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Legal, FP&A, and External Auditors.
