About the role
- Invent creative, practical, and robust solutions to computer vision problems relating to perception and localization
- Develop perception & localization algorithms for tractor-mounted camera systems
- Implement intelligent algorithms to interpret complex, real-world data (each system collects terabytes of raw image data every day)
- Fuse sensor data (stereo depth, GNSS, IMU, etc.) to localize camera systems on farms
- Optimize code for fast edge computing performance (Python, C++)
- Support different parts of the software and hardware stack as needed
- Collaborate closely with CEO and team; deploy and iterate systems on large farms
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience in industry or academia
- Expertise in one or more of: computer vision, stereo depth perception, pose estimation, object detection, multi-object tracking, image processing, robotics software
- Hands-on experience developing robotics software from the ground up
- Proficiency in Python and C++ for optimizing edge compute performance
- Enthusiasm for taking on multiple roles and responsibilities as company grows
- Bonus: Experience deploying & optimizing robotics algorithms on embedded compute like NVIDIA Jetson
- Bonus: Familiarity with fusing data from GNSS, IMU, depth, and other sensors
