About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Leading a team of engineers and designers in the design, development, installation, and maintenance of electrical substations
Responsible for development of substation design packages for clients across the US
Prepare or oversee the preparation of cost estimates and schedules for physical design projects
Manage the execution of physical design projects of all sizes
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to direct reports
Act as the primary point of contact for clients
Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations
Perform quality reviews of your direct report’s work
Assist in continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 4 years of experience in the design of electrical substations
PE license highly preferred
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to effectively organize multiple physical design assignments
Experience managing physical design projects
Ability to collaborate in cross-functional work teams
Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills
Experience in creating and reviewing substation design drawings
Proficiency with current software applications used to perform substation design work
Ability to successfully work with remotely located team members
