About the role

  • Evaluate the design and function of networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN, SANs, etc.)
  • Dig through dense network traffic data to discern patterns and topology
  • Use Wireshark and other PCAP tools to evaluate the network
  • Read and digest to non-technical stakeholders the disposition of network configuration files, NMS tools, and network activity
  • Document in network diagrams, slide decks, and wikis network architecture and processes for internal use
  • Learn new networking protocols quickly and integrate that knowledge into ongoing analysis
  • Brief findings to key client stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
  • Strong knowledge of networking technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, VPNs, MPLS, GPON, IPsec, and SDH
  • Experience with network hardware such as Cisco, Juniper, or similar platforms
  • Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, PRTG)
