About the role
- Evaluate the design and function of networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN, SANs, etc.)
- Dig through dense network traffic data to discern patterns and topology
- Use Wireshark and other PCAP tools to evaluate the network
- Read and digest to non-technical stakeholders the disposition of network configuration files, NMS tools, and network activity
- Document in network diagrams, slide decks, and wikis network architecture and processes for internal use
- Learn new networking protocols quickly and integrate that knowledge into ongoing analysis
- Brief findings to key client stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
- Strong knowledge of networking technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, VPNs, MPLS, GPON, IPsec, and SDH
- Experience with network hardware such as Cisco, Juniper, or similar platforms
- Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, PRTG)
